McInnis & Holloway holds the safety of our families, our team and our community at the forefront. Our  facilities can accommodate 100 people while ensuring we have the proper physical distancing in place, as outline by the Government for services and receptions.  

Funeral Services are permitted up to 100 people (within funeral homes)

If you desire to have a funeral that exceeds 100 guests, we can help you

As of October 26,2020 funeral receptions are permitted up to 15 people indoors 

​Boxed lunches are available to be served to guests​

As of October 23, 2020 Family members flying into Canada to attend funerals can now apply to avoid 14 days of quarantine

The Public Health Agency of Canada has announced that family members outside of Canada can now apply for compassionate entry and/or limited release from quarantine


  • Step 1 – Review the Government Of Canada website with the most up to date information related to COVID-19: Compassionate entry for travelers and limited release from quarantine
    Step 2 - request the Funeral Home complete the required site visit authorization 
    • Foreign national who has not yet travelled to Canada and needs a limited release from mandatory quarantine

  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person registered under the Indian Act who needs a limited release from mandatory quarantine

  • Foreign nations who have already entered Canada, if you now need a limited release from mandatory quarantine

Including but not limited to;

  • provide a letter signed by the family of the deceased confirming their support of the Attendee's attendance at the funeral or end of life event;
  • Provide confirmation of a negative COVID-19 test result from a test administered no more than 5 days prior to the event.

The Public Health Agency of Canada’s goal is to respond to applications within 7 business days. Some cases will fall outside this service standard.
