General Accountant

Working in symmetry with his/her colleagues and the Controller, the Accountant performs a variety of full-cycle accounting including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger entries.

Additionally, the role is responsible for generating financials, and reporting efficiencies and profitability of the organization. Ensure best practices are applied across the organization while maintaining consistency with our values.

In alignment with the company’s culture, mission, vision, and values, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Accounts Receivable Requirements

  • Entering and posting customer invoices and payments accurately
  • Monitor customer accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities
  • Filing of customer and vendor documentation
  • Perform regular bank deposits
  • Additional Accounts Receivable duties as required

Accounts Payable Requirements

  • Day to day processing of invoices, cheques, and payment
  • Account coding and by analyzing invoice/expense reports
  • Maintaining accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
  • Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing accounts information
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly credit card and bank statements and related transactions
  • Maintain vendor files
  • Reconciling creditor accounts
  • Processing cheque runs and deposits
  • Additional Accounts Payable duties as required

Additional Requirements

  • Carry out all month-end bookkeeping tasks with high levels of accuracy
  • Maintain financials and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using Sage 50
  • Generated financial reports (Balance sheets, Income statements, Cash Flows)
  • Complying, verifying, recording, and processing all company financial documents, ensuring all completed mandatory paperwork is thorough, accurate, and submitted on time
  • Maintaining both the electronic and hard copy filing system for all AR & AP documents, invoices, and work orders
  • Maintain accurate, well-kept records for all financials to support monthly reporting requirements and year-end review engagement
  • Additional duties as required

Your Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 3-5-years experience in a similar role performing full-cycle accounting
  • Intermediate to expert proficiency within Microsoft Office 365, including but not limited to, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting and financial principles and practices
  • Working knowledge of budgets, forecasting, and metrics
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • In-depth knowledge of all relevant governing legislation and regulatory standards
  • Ad hoc report creation in Sage 50 and Excel

Your Education/Designation

  • Post Secondary Education in related field
  • Working towards CPA designation or possessing CPA designation

Transfer Driver

We are currently hiring for Full - Time TRANSFER DRIVER.

  • Able to manage, assign and prioritize daily tasks
