Obituary of Harry Robert Hayes

HAYES – Harry Robert (Bob) September 24, 1927 – May 6, 2009 Bob Hayes, beloved husband of Sadie Hayes of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at the age of 81 years. Bob was married to the love of his life Sadie for fifty-six years. His working career was spent at Burnco and Consolidated Concrete. He loved camping, hunting and fishing – as well as dancing. Bob was also an avid fan of the Calgary Flames. Most of all, he was a dedicated husband and father. Besides his loving wife Sadie, Bob is survived by his children, Kathy Hayes, Connie (Jim) Martin, Carol (Tony) Pelc, Robert (Carol) Hayes, and Alison (Keith) Lee; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Audrey Bartanus and Ann Hayes; and many extended family members. Funeral Services will be held at St. Gerard’s Catholic Church (8944 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Monday, May 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
