Obituary of Hannah Gjertsen
Hannah, our Angel, daughter of Wayne and Marian Gjertsen of Calgary, went to the Lord at the Alberta Children’s Hospital at the age of 13.
Hannah was predeceased by her twin sister, Ariel Rae, and her great-grandfather Oscar Iafolla. She leaves to mourn her sisters, Claire and Kaila, her great-grandmother, Paolina Iafolla, her grandparents, George and Lucy Sticksl of Calgary, and Bjorn and Bertha Gjertsen of DeWinton, AB. Hannah is also survived by numerous loving uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. We would like to thank everyone who cared for Hannah, especially John and Sheryl Egley and family, Dr. Monique Wright, Dr. Robert Barsky, all the wonderful Doctors, nurses and staff at the Alberta Children’s Hospital, Bow Park Court, Calgary Quest Children’s Society, Emily Folensbee Centre and Calgary Handi-Bus Association.
Hannah touched so many of us and through her, we have all become stronger in every aspect. Thank you Hannah for bringing smiles and inspiration to us all. God speed.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, December 16, 2004 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Ascension Catholic Church (1100 Berkshire Boulevard N.W.) on Friday, December 17, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ignatius Thu Tran, Presider.
