Obituary of Willard Edward Dakin
Willard Edward Dakin of Calgary passed away at the Carewest Crossbow Auxiliary Hospital on Friday, January 16, 2004, at the age of 92 years.
Willard was born on January 29, 1911 in Stoughton, SK. He married Dorothy Adelaide Clark on July 15, 1939. They lived in Ormiston, SK, during which time their son Joel was born on July 22, 1944. In 1953 they moved to Moose Jaw, SK and built their own house. Willard worked for National Light and Power (later Saskatchewan Power) as a millwright. They also lived in Squaw Rapids, Nipawin, and Outlook, SK. When Willard retired they moved back to Moose Jaw. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and making wooden toys for children.
Willard is survived by his son Joel in Calgary; by his relatives in England; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
