Obituary of Robert Harry Gunnar CARLSON

January 14, 1929 – Calgary, AB April 30, 2016 – Calgary, AB It is with sorrowful and heavy hearts we advise of the peaceful and sudden passing of Robert Harry Gunnar (Bob/Gunnar) Carlson, on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at the age of 87. Bob will always be remembered for his infectious laugh, his broad smile and the twinkle in his eyes. His memory lives on in the lives of all who loved him and called him friend. Beloved husband of sixty-four years to Wynne; Dad to Sherri (Roger) Stewart, Cinde (Joe) Shemanski, Jill (Rob) Allen, and youngest daughter Lori, who predeceased him in 1994. He was Papa to Scott (Jessica) Stewart, Jess Stewart, Chris Allen, Nicole (Chad) Malanowich, and Carley (Joe) Caldow, as well as Great-Papa to five great granddaughters: India Stewart Pelster-Wiebe, Alexandra Malanowich, Cassidy Malanowich, Gemma Caldow and Margot Stewart. He was predeceased by his youngest daughter, Lori; his parents, Gunnar & Ethel Carlson; his mother-in-law, Laura Maynard, and too many of his close cousins & friends.
