Obituary of Gordon James CASSIE

December 3, 1931 - July 28, 2020

Gordon passed away peacefully the evening of July 28, 2020 at the age of 88 years, with his children holding his hands and his heart.

Gord was an electrician, an engineer, a builder, a golfer and a fisherman.  He enjoyed WSU basketball, Flames hockey, Stamps football but especially Jays baseball.  Simple things made him happy; The Livingstone with a fly rod, a sunny day with friends on a golf course, lunch with The Boys.  He loved ice cream, soup and Dode's scones, but mostly he loved his family.  He took such joy in their day to day lives and accomplishments.

Gordon leaves behind his three children, Linda (Jan) Weisbrod, Brian (Janet) Cassie and Jim Cassie; his four grandchildren, Cassie (Bobby) Jeffery, Kennedy and Ty Cassie, Steven Cassie and Steven’s mother Lori Brown.  His great-granddaughter Faith Jeffery will sorely miss her NannyPops.  He also leaves a brother Douglas Cassie and his sister Doris (Bob) Rose, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Gordon was predeceased by his dear wife Deanne in 2015.

Pop was a kind and gentle man with the sweetest smile.  There will be a big void in all our lives.
