William BOUCHER

Obituary of William Gerard BOUCHER

October 1, 1949 – Orillia, Ontario
July 29, 2020 – Cochrane, Alberta

Bill Boucher of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the age of 70 years.

Bill was the master of weaving many outrageous stories.  Most of these stories began with a small nugget of truth and a whole a lot of fabrication (bullshit).  He was no stranger to poking fun at everybody and anybody using colourful language and inappropriate analogies.  He was loved by many for his surprising wit and hospitable charm.  Bill loved to make sure everyone was comfortable and had a full belly when he was around.  The acreage will never be the same without him there, he will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Bill had unconditional love for all four of his kids and his seven grandchildren, no matter how much we tested his patience.  It did not matter to him that he loved to test ours.  Many memories were made through the years hunting, fishing, vacations, family-get-togethers and family outings.  There is a hole in our hearts that can never be filled.  Dad you were our rock, we always knew we could depend on you.  Your daily calls will not ever come again, and the sadness is unbearable.  We miss you Dad and will always love you.

Bill is survived by his children, Michelle, Joseph (Sylvia), Matthew (Somer) and Andrew (Jenna); his grandchildren, Johnathan (Sophie), Nicholas, Taylor (Yzabelle), Madison, Jesse, Christopher and Sophy; sister Doreen, brother Rodney (Gail), and numerous friends and extended family.

He was predeceased by his grandmother Delima, father Gerard, mother Jean, brother Don, cousin Leonard, daughter-in-law Sara and son-in-law Chris.
