Obituary of Nicholas “Nick” KOZNUIK

August 6, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with deep shock and sadness that we announce the passing of Nicholas Koznuik, beloved husband of Gloria (nee Peters) of Calgary, AB on Thursday, August 6, 2020 at the age of 95 years.

Nick was born in Moose Jaw, SK, on December 16, 1924.

He moved to Lethbridge, AB working with the CP Rail, BNB. He met and married Gloria in 1949.

He was transferred back to Moose Jaw with CP Rail as a Carmen, there they raised their family and he was then transferred to Winnipeg in 1968. He retired from CP Rail in 1984 and moved to Calgary in 1986.

He is survived by his loving wife of seventy-one years, Gloria; his children, Arlene Van Hellemond (Bruce), Merry Anne McIntyre, Pauline McDougall, Nico Koznuik (Kim), nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening and watching hockey.
