Condolences
I’m so sorry to hear for your loss. John was a great man who really cared about people. My parents & I met him at our gallery in Scottsdale Gallery Andrea. He was a friend & colllector. He was very supportive when my father had a massive stroke in 2019 & always made a point of checking up on him. I remember his laugh & his enthusiasm for life & his love for my mother andrea de Kerpely-Zak’s healing flowers as he was a fan & collector.
John was a long time friend in the racing industry. We owned many horses together. I will miss John at the track talking about racing and life. Hopefully John has gone to a place where all his horses are winners. My condolences to the family and friends.
John was a partner and friend during his years with KPMG in Calgary . We shared many wonderful moments together professionally, on the golf course , at the track ( my wife Monika and I owned several thoroughbreds with John in the 80's ). He was a good partner and kind person. We kept in touch after his retirement from KPMG where I would see him in Scottsdale from time to time and when I moved to Nesbitt Burns and looked after some of his investments for a period of time. Our condolences to the family. He will be in our thoughts.
Mom and Dad always had great respect for John when he would visit the farm. He was such a pleasure to be around, and you must have many happy memories of him. Our sincere condolences to all of John's family members. Your cousin, Dorothy and Bill.

Very sorry to hear of Johns passing, our heartfelt condolences to Edie and the Fowlis family. Our late father Stan and John where life long best of friends, both sharing their passions curling and golfing together when we were too young to even remember. Their friendship continued with Johns annual pilgrimage to Winnipeg, all four of us usually ending up out at Elmhurst Golf & C.C. where the two would share their bonspieling and golfing stories with us. As Russ and I look back, it was amazing their friendship/road trips had spanned the years and continued until our father past away four years ago. Going through dads personal collections we came across many old pictures of the "guys" in their heydays; we attached a few pictures including our recent visit with John. Even with the passing of our father our friendship with John never ended, we traded phone calls, kept in touch and always had time for him when he came to Winnipeg. Looking back to this past summer we were grateful to have had John out to the club in July, where he impressed not only Russ and I but many of our club member/friends with his driving prowess out on the driving range. John, your sense of humor/adventure and out going personality will be greatly missed by both of us, its was a pleasure and honor to have you in our lives all these years. I/we imagine you and dad are standing on a first tee of a terrific golf course or delivering a curling stone some place wonderful. Rest in peace John.
We were so fortunate to see Uncle John on his annual forays to Winnipeg! Always a lively, fun loving person and a pleasure to visit with. Our sincere condolences to Bill, Don, Bob and Linda on the loss of their dad, and to Edie on the loss of her wonderful partner.
Brian, Madeline and Elaine
