Condolences
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Will. We went to Western Canada High School together and I have many fun memories of our big group hanging at his house, going to Loose Moose Theatre, doing all the things that kids do. When I hear U2 I see Will in my head. Years have gone by but always brings a smile to my face. My thoughts are with all of his loved ones.
My thoughts and wishes go out to the family and friends of such a great guy. Will was the coach when I was starting my tennis journey at the Calgary Tennis Club. His stark honesty and big laugh made an impression on me, and his tennis strokes were far beyond anything I had seen.
So many little memories of him stand out to me. He chastised the juniors for listening to intense music before matches opting for "smooth jazz" to relax him instead. He would always kick his second serves as high as possible when warming up really smoothly....something I stole from him and still try to execute with little effect. Whenever he was mimicking a tennis stroke he would make a popping noise with his mouth. He would also have no issues letting me know that I was taking a not-so-funny joke too far by shaking his head and walking away.
One more memory. It was just me working at the front desk one day when a lady showed up. I saw his eyes widen and he immediately jumped off the chair and hid and told me that it was one of his exes. He told me to let him know when she left. I don't think she ended up coming in, but I was really wondering what had happened to warrant that kind of reaction.
It's a huge loss for the tennis community and everybody who knew him. We're missing you.
So very sad to hear about Will’s passing. Way too young. May the spirit enfold your family with love as they embark on their journey of grief and loss.
Personally, and on behalf of the Calgary Tennis Club, I would like to offer our sincere condolences to Will’s family and friends. We were all saddened to learn of Will’s passing. He was a valued member of the tennis community in Calgary and especially at the Calgary Tennis Club where he returned to teach tennis this past summer. Will was a great talent and an excellent tennis coach, especially appreciated by the kids he instructed. He will be missed. Rest in peace Will.
Will was a special friend to me, a soulmate in ways.
We discovered tennis together @ CTC….where I got to know his infinite talent in everything he touched.
It’s an incredible loss for everyone who had the pleasure to know his unique and beautiful soul.
A sad day indeed!
Crushed by the news of Will's passing. A kind soul and a friend for the last 30 years since first meeting him at the Calgary Tennis Club. I will miss you my friend.
Rest in peace
Dan
I was very saddened to hear the news of Will's passing. Will was one of my coaches for many years at the Tennis Academy and I will forever treasure the times we spent on and off court. My condolences to the family.
Will was a friend, a fellow tennis player, a great coach to both of our daughters and a funny guy who we always had a good tease with. Where we saw Will's true kind soul shine through is when coaching children. He had an amazing gift in working with kids and was able to make tennis fun. Our kids always felt acknowledged and accepted by him on the tennis court, which was very special to us and them.
He will be dearly missed. We are sending love to the family and friends who are struggling with his loss.
Rest in peace Will.

I was very sad to hear of Wills passing as were my two kids Rayne and Tyler. Will was a big big part of their childhood and growth as tennis players, not only with his skill as a coach, but with his support out on the courts and at the many many matches he attended. He will be missed by all of us.
It is with a heavy heart that I send my condolences to Will's family. Will was such a kind and gentle soul. My husband and I have known Will over the past couple of decades as a wonderful tennis player and watched him excel as a tennis coach. His coaching skills, were known and experienced by many. We are so sorry for your loss and know the pain that is left behind is enormous. Sending the family so much love as you grapple with your loss.
May he rest in peace.
