George Dwyer, beloved Father and Grandfather, passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021, the day before his 91st birthday!
Born in Montreal to Florence and William, George married Stella Gregory in 1952. He was employed by ITT working on the Dew Line for fifteen years; then with SNC Lavalin in Calgary for 25 years as a buyer where he was a valued employee. George loved to sing and spent many years in choirs and enjoyed attending church. His final years were spent living in Big Hill Lodge, Cochrane, where he received loving care from Sandra and the staff.
George is survived by his daughters, Debbie (Joe) Chaisson, Karen Connolly, and Janice (William) Ball; and grandchildren, Tom Laughlin, Devon (Andrew) Ashe, Owen and Megan Connolly, William C. Ball, Gregory Ball (Julia Pascutto). He was predeceased by loving wife and best friend Stella, brothers, Billy and James; son-in law Owen Sr.; and granddaughter Laura.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (East of the James Walker Trail and Highway 22 intersection, Cochrane, Alberta) on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 12:30 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church (East of the James Walker Trail and Highway 22 intersection, Cochrane, Alberta) on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Condolences, memories and photos may also be shared and viewed here.
The family would like to thank Adriana, all the nurses and doctors at the Foothills Medical Centre for their excellent and compassionate care.
In living memory of George Dwyer, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area.
