November 9, 1948 – Toronto, Ontario
September 17, 2022 - Calgary, Alberta

Linda Madonna, beloved wife of Terrance (Terry) Cotton, of Calgary, AB, died on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the age of 73 years.

Linda was born in Toronto, ON, on November 9, 1948. Through the years she has called many places home; Georgetown, Ontario, Windsor, Ontario, Edmonton, AB, and finally, settling in Calgary, AB in 1989. Although she lived in Alberta for 42 years, she was always a Toronto Maple Leafs’ fan. Linda, a voracious reader was a lover of books and literature. There was never a crack in the spine of her books! Her favorite author was Richard B. Wright. She often donated books to charities, including donating over 350 books to the Cancer Centre in Lethbridge. She always enjoyed visiting her friends and family all over North America for weddings, and special occasions. Linda also loved travelling. Some of her favorite places to visit were Italy and the Caribbean. Her favorite part of everyday was enjoying a cappuccino each morning, overlooking her pretty and carefully attended garden. She took great pride in her work in the Oil and Gas Industry through the years. Particularly, she enjoyed the relationships she formed with the people of Frog Lake First Nation while working with Frog Lake Energy Resources Corp.

Linda was predeceased by her parents, Velia and Frank Madonna. She is survived by her loving husband, Terry, and her sister, Judy. She will be lovingly remembered by Brad Heric who lived with them for three years and thought of Linda as his second mom. He was by her side when she took her last breaths. As well, she will be dearly missed by numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends who were like family to her.
