It’s with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, big brother, love, nephew, grandson, great-grandson Blaze Lawrence Alford Crowchild, on July 15, 2023 at the age of 19 years on the Tsuu Tina Nation.
Blaze had such a kind soul, he was strong, silent, and reserved but could light up any room with that smile or that look he gave. He excelled at all sports he tried, but loved hockey, playing many years, winning many championships, and brought home many gold medals. He was a protector of his brothers, also showing them brotherly love reminding them of who is the toughest and not to mess around. Blaze loved his family, He had such a big heart, may have been quite be he always made sure to tell you he loved you. He finished his educational journey at Many Horses High School in 2021 receiving his diploma. He loved to travel with his family, creating lasting memories. He spent the last year of his life with his love, Skaia.
Blaze is survived by his parents Dwayne and Patriece, little brothers; Kodehn, Mikka and Suede. His love Skaia, Grandma Sarah, Grandpa Paul, Grandma Annlyn, and Grandma Roxanne; Aunties, Moira (Lacy) Yevette (Sean) Nellie (Taylor) Britney (Robbie) Desarae, Charity, Raven (Graham) Rhonda, Rita, Jackie (Morley), and Trisha Simeon; Uncles, Vinnie Jr., Robin (Tasha), Brett (Tori) and Leon; numerous cousins and friends.
Blaze is Pre-deceased by Grandma Josie, Papa Vin, Auntie Froggy, Auntie Jolee, Uncle Tracy, Auntie Judy, Great Aunt Angeline, and Cousin Sarah.
Wake Services will be held at the residence of Patriece Meguinis Tsuut’ina Nation, AB, on July 20, 2023 at 4:00 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Bullhead Hall on Saturday, July 22 at 11:00 AM. Graveside Service to follow at Tsuut’ina Cemetery (Tsuut’ina Nation, AB). Reception will be held Bullhead Hall (Tsuut’ina Nation, AB) immediately following the graveside. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
