Obituary of Stan Perzylo

April 7, 1947 – Sifton, Manitoba

July 19, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta

 

Stanley “Stan” Perzylo, beloved husband of Patricia of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at the age of 76 years. Stan was born in Sifton, Manitoba on April 7, 1947 to his parents Michael and Lena Perzylo.

 

Stan married the love of his life, Patricia Seymour on July 6, 1968 and together they moved to Calgary, AB where they had two daughters and he started his pipeline career.  Stan accomplished much through his life and was particularly proud of his family, and his 50 plus year career pipelining. Stan loved traveling in his motorhome across North America, tinkering on his antique cars and fishing.

 

Besides his loving wife, Stan is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Chantel (Mike) Uhrich of Sylvan Lake, AB and Stacey (Michael) Grencier of Airdrie, AB; five grandchildren, Matthew (Laura) Uhrich of Calgary, AB; Dakota (Camille) Uhrich of Armstrong, BC; Trent (Brittany) Uhrich of Kelowna, BC; Brandon (Lisa) Mahoney of Calgary, AB; Justin (Morgan) Mahoney of Calgary, AB;  five great-grandchildren, Aaliyah and Skyleigh Uhrich of Calgary, AB; Gigi Marie and Dax Uhrich of Armstrong, BC; and Saylor Uhrich of Kelowna, BC. Stan is also survived by his brothers, Alvin Perzylo and Bill (Esther) Perzylo, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews. Stan was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Lena Perzylo, two brothers, Ed (Inge) and Frank (Rose) Perzylo; and four sisters, Olga (Metro) Kucherawy; Helen (Ray, Ron) Fortier Chorneyko; Sandra Zabrodski; and Rose (Steve) Skolski.

 

“He had a nature you could not help loving and a heart that was purer than gold. To those that knew him and loved him, his memory will never grow cold.”

 

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Airdrie, 300 Towerlane Drive) on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 2:00 p.m.  Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the funeral home. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mr. Perzylo’s service streamed live on the day of the service at www.MHFH.com. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories, and photos may also be shared and viewed there.
