Miles was my neighbor and the first person I met on the street. In 2005, shortly after I moved in, Miles showed up at the front door with his rake in hand offering to help me rake leaves in my backyard because some came from his trees.
In the years since we had many conversations over the fence we built together, sometimes with a glass of Croatian brandy!
Miles was a kind, caring, wise man with a great sense of humour. He will be missed.
