Obituary of Katherine Elizabeth Schell

Katherine (Kay) Schell (nee Donhauser) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at the age of 104.

She was a beloved member of the Catholic Women's League and had a deep love for family and friends. She is survived by her sons, James and Edward, her daughter Susan, her eleven grandchildren, and her seventeen great-grandchildren. Katherine was predeceased by her husband Joseph Frederick, her parents, her children, Carol, Thomas, Elaine, Ronald, Jerome; and her grandchild Brian VanWezel.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael Catholic Community (800 – 85th Street S.W.) on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow in St. Michael’s Gathering Area at the church.
