September 10, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta
It is with the heaviest of hearts, the family of Karen Lucille Brown (nee LeBeau) announces her passing after a long, courageous battle.
Karen was born in Kelowna, BC, on March 5, 1944, and was raised in Armstrong, BC. She moved to Calgary, AB, as a young adult, where she made lifelong friends, and met her beloved husband, Steve.
While raising her four kids, she worked in various positions, making friends everywhere she went. If you knew her, you loved her.
Her and Steve’s love of nature is evident in the oasis of their beautiful yard.
She leaves behind her true love, beloved husband Steve, her daughter Tracy (Rocque), sons Stephen, and Ryan. She was a cherished grandma to Asia (Marcus), “Bee” (Sheldon), Kade, Vi, and Lucy; and one great-grandson, Calder.
She was predeceased by her loving parents, her brother Wayne, her son Mike, and her first-born grandchild Jonathon.
Please join us in celebrating this incredible wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma on Saturday, September 23, 2023, starting at 2:00 p.m. in Karen and Steve’s beautiful yard (218, 25 Ave. NE, Calgary, AB).
In living memory of Karen Lucille Brown, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes, Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB T2E 2V6, Telephone: 403-243-8200.
