Condolences
I had the good fortune of meeting Anne in 2002. At that time, Anne was guiding me in my professional growth as she did for so many others. It cannot understate how Anne left an indelible mark on me as a professional and person. I recall her teachings on a daily basis and, more importantly, the way she taught with warmth, humor, strength, conviction and compassion; all appearing effortless as this was her true character. Over the years, Anne shared stories of family and I know how invested and proud she was in her personal life, my condolences.
With Love

I am very sorry for your loss. Anne was my meditation teacher when I first started in 2009. I was part of a small group to have the privilege to attend a meditation retreat on Molokai Island Hawaii with Bante Gunaratana . My memory of that retreat is of Anne sitting in meditation with a beautiful smile on her face and of silent walking meditation in the forest in the early morning hours. She helped facilitate the retreat and performed the interviews with the meditators. All I can say that my meeting with Anne had a long and lasting profound impact on my life.
I attended a Buddhist ceremony for her yesterday where she was truly honoured.
Peace be with her family and all who knew her.

Our condolences to all of all of Anne's family and many friends. On behalf of the Professional Association for Equine Facilitated Wellness (Pro-EFW) I would like to express my sympathy as well as my gratitude for all that Anne contributed to Pro-EFW. She was Chair of the Training Committee that oversaw and contributed to the high quality of training and certification of the Pro-EFW Certification candidates. Her passion for animals and her ability to transfer her compassion and knowledge of equines into comprehensive training was a skill that she shared with us. She was a generous volunteer who shared her knowledge, professionalism, caring and love of equines and she made the world a better place with her work. She will be missed by our association as we could always count on her for her wisdom and counsel. We were privileged to have Anne as part of our Pro-EFW herd.
I am so saddened to hear about Anne's passing. I met Anne when she joined the TRE,(Tension and Trauma Release Exercises) Provider Certification Training program in Halifax Nova Scotia in 2018. She generously shared her warmth, humor, wisdom, skill and trauma knowledge through out the training. I was more than pleased when Anne was certified as a Provider. Her enthusiasm for exploring TRE together with her love for horses was unique. There are only a few providers globally who have this interest and skill. Anne was eager to learn and to share what she learned. She will be missed in our TRE Community in Canada.
Blessings to her family and all those who loved her.
Joan McDonald, TRE Certification Trainer in Canada.
Anne and I were colleagues at the Calgary General Hospital back in the 1980’s. We became fast friends and lunch buddies, sharing stories of our lives, loves, travels, disappointments and hospital politics. We even did some actual work together. After the destruction of the hospital in the 1990’s we went our separate ways professionally but we stayed connected. We referred clients to each other’s respective practices and continued our lunches every once in a while. It was so interesting to witness Anne evolving and exploring so many aspects of psychotherapy, meditation and spirituality. I have heard from others that she became an inspirational teacher, mentor and deep friend to so many. Not only was she as smart as they come, but she subscribed to the highest standards of ethics and excellence in her undertakings. What a privilege it was to know her. What a terrible loss for friends, clients, students and her beloved animals! May she rest in peace.
A truly unimaginable loss.
Ann’s memory will live on in our daily lives as we continue to put into practice everything she so wisely taught and counselled.
My deepest condolences
