August 2, 2024 - Okotoks, Alberta
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Sally Elizabeth Adams (née Tapson), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, on Friday, August 2, 2024, in Okotoks, AB. Born in Windsor, ON, on May 14, 1951, Sally lived a full and vibrant life marked by deep connections with family and friends, a passion for photography, and a love for all things beautiful.
In 1973, Sally moved from Ontario to Alberta with her husband Keith and their two young daughters, where they built a life filled with love and adventure. Sally was most proud of her strong, loving marriage with Keith, her cherished daughters, Jennifer (Dave) and Erin (Marcel), and her five adored grandchildren, Dawson, Evanora, Merrit, Madison, and Enya.
Sally’s professional career was diverse and accomplished, ranging from dental assisting to real estate marketing. However, her true calling was photography, where she captured beautiful moments for families and wedding couples, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. She was a dedicated member of the Professional Photographers Association, and her work and passion for the craft reflected her artistic spirit.
Sally was also an avid gardener, an enthusiastic decorator, and a devoted horse lover. She found joy in working with her horse, Country, which sparked her lifelong passion for photography. Her love of reading, journaling, and exploring beautiful places enriched her life and inspired those around her.
Sally hosted both of her daughters' weddings on the family acreage, creating memories filled with love, laughter, and togetherness. Her family was her pride and joy, and her home was always a warm and welcoming haven for friends and loved ones.
Sally is survived by her loving husband Keith, her two daughters and their families, her siblings, Judy (Richard), Roger (Judy), John (Catherine), Robert (Michelle), and Lynn (Randy), and her sister-in-law Lila (Terry). She was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Jack Tapson.
Sally's family extends their heartfelt thanks to the Foothills Country Hospice for their compassionate care and support.
An intimate celebration of Sally's life will be held in the garden she cherished so much. Her legacy of love, beauty, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
