Dave Johnston of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024, at the age of 82 years.

Dave was born on October 14, 1941, in Calgary, AB, and spent his entire life in his hometown. This is where he built a successful career and cherished friendships with those he met.

He spent over thirty years working for Houston Trucking Ltd., where he formed lasting relationships with his coworkers and was respected for his hard work and dedication.

Outside of work, Dave had a passion for model railroading and photography. He also had an extensive collection of movies, always looking to add new titles to his shelves.

Dave is survived by his two sons, Dan (Deb) and Mike (Tammy); and his daughter Karen. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, August, Brendan, and Wade; as well as his sister Gayle. He was predeceased by his wife Marilyn, and his parents, Peggy and Sam.

A Graveside Service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery (3219 4 St NW, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at 10:30 a.m.

Dave will be remembered by his friends and family for his kind and generous spirit.
