I am very sorry to hear, that Jim passed away and I send my condolence to his family.
After travelling through Africa und together with Eldon Onia true South America, I was introduced to Jim in Calgary by Phil Eaton. We use to watch TV shows in his mother house and I work with friends in the yard on my VW van to travel again to Sout America. His story about his adventure inspired me later to travel to South Asia to. Specially his Picture from Angkor in Cambodia impressed me. When I visited Angkor later on, I always thought about Jim and told my wife about Jim`s visit here.
Back in Germany, I lost contact with him, but I never forgot him. So good by my friend, rest in peace
