Condolences
My dear Marion you remain an inspiration, you were the mother I wish I had.
I am forever grateful for the many times spent together sharing our love of travel, books, plants nature and people.
You blazed a trail that spanned many interesting points in history and you never lost your zest for life.
I miss you razor sharp wit , kindness and your just do it attitude.
I imagine that you are still making music, spreading joy and being the bright star .
Your Friend Paula Mitzi Shields
It has been for a month since Marion, my Canadian mother passed away.
She called me a Japanese adopted daughter, and even gave her middle name, Emily to me.
Together we made the best of the dozens of English essays and poems I had written.
Marion became fluffy clouds in the sky, watching over me warmly every single day.
Forever in our hearts.,Beautiful gentle soul inside and out.,
It’s just bye for know.
Until we meet again.
Love you our dear aunt.
Rosa and Tom and families from Kelowna.
Our since sympathy to Neil, Don and families. Forever young in mind and heart, that was Marion.
She was a valued member of the Shuswap Writers' Group for many years and shared countless stories as well as contributing her knowledge and support for the group. Her boundless energy of publishing her writing was an inspiration to all of us.
We know she will be well received in "writer's heaven," so write on, Marion. Write on!
The Shuswap Writer's Group, Salmon Arm, BC.
My condolences to Marion's family and friends. What a beautiful picture of her. I met her in 2014 when I moved to Salmon Arm for four years. We met at an English as a Second Language group meeting. I was immediately taken with her youthfulness, energy and how well dressed she was. She loved her interests, especially writing and publishing books. Marion was a great role model for how to live every moment to the fullest. She contributed a lot to the community of Salmon Arm.
