Condolences
Barb and family, there is nothing but time and fond memories to heal your broken hearts. I hold Willard in highest of esteem with many fond memories of our times volunteering for our community. thank you for your generosity welcoming us into your home. I send you warm hugs. Leigh Hughes (Hvidberg)
Deepest condolences to Barb and Family. I will remember with fondness the many years playing hockey together.
Barb & family, we are saddened to hear of Willard's passing. Barb, you and Willard were thoughtful, caring neighbours when we lived across the street on Elton Court. Willard was knowledgeable about the community and its idiosyncrasies. His wisdom was an asset to those of us who were not longtime Creekers. His sense of humour and friendliness were very welcoming. His contributions to the community and especially the Snowbirds helped to lay the foundation for an important community resource. He will be missed by family, friends and the community.

I worked with Willard at AGT in Edmonton. Lunch hours and coffee breaks we're always a time for many chuckles with Willard around. Willard had noticed that I would often get engrossed in reading the dictionary and just before he transferred to Calgary he gifted me his "New World Dictionary". I was very touched and still have it on my book shelf and still take the occasional opportunity to use it.
My deepest condolences.

I worked with Willard at AGT. We played men's hockey in Edmonton. He was a fast skater for a 50 year old man. I also rebuilt an old crank phone for him, which he used at his new log house.in Bragg Creek. Willard was quite a character and fun to be around during work and play. i often thought about Willard in our later years.

A warm, welcoming man, and a great story teller. Enjoyed many a conversation about cars, planes, gadgets and world events. I will miss you. Sending care to Barb and family during this difficult time.
I did not meet Willard until later in both of our lives. I met him at the Snowbirds Chalet when I became a member. He made me welcome and showed me "The Ropes". Willard had lots of stories and gave of them freely to anyone who would listen. He was born in the 30's and grew up during WW2 and had a different view of the world than I did.
Always up for a game of snooker with the guys at the Chalet, which would turn into a test of memory of the gathered group of friends. He will be missed by the larger group people who knew him.
My thoughts are with his family at this time.
