Obituary of Walter Garnett Mueller

Walter Garnett Mueller of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024, at the age of 89 years.

Garnett dedicated his entire career to the geophysical industry, eventually becoming the part-owner and operator of a successful business for many decades. Garnett had great passion for his work and the people he engaged with throughout his career. Over his 50 years in the industry, he earned widespread respect and recognition. In addition to his professional achievements, Garnett had a great love for salmon fishing on the west coast and enjoyed vacationing in his RV with his family.

Garnett is survived by his children; Robert, Brad (Susan), Darcy (Joe) and his grandchildren; Michelle, Olivia, Evan and Neve.

Garnett is also survived by his sister Margaret, along with many nieces and nephews.

Garnett was predeceased by his late wife Gladys in 2023, and his sisters Betty, Barbara and Freda.

The family wishes to thank the care givers at the Southwood Care Center for their care and love for Garnett.

Garnett’s family will be holding a private gathering in his memory.
