Condolences
Alex you are to be commended for everything you did to help your dad. I know you were a wonderful daughter. What a well written obituary, it’s like reading a novel from a famous author! Thank you for sharing your history. A book can capture a lifetime in a moment which is the duration that life often seems to be - it goes by so quickly, like a moment. (Psalms 90:10)
I look forward with much joy and anticipation to the day when Daniel 12:2 will be accomplished, yes here on earth when conditions will be amazing! Yes, we can have the hope of welcoming back to life my grandpa, uncles, your mom, dad, and brother, and so many more! Psalm 37:29 says, “The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it.”
I long for the day when our loved ones will be awakened from death like from a deep sleep and we will all be able to live forever on earth in amazing conditions - perfect health, no more death, pain, sorrow, water and food will be pure, free, and in abundance, no more crime or injustice, everything will be the way it was supposed to be:)
Truly, the best is yet to come! In the meantime, may Psalm 147:3,4 comfort your heart and that of your loved ones. Those verses say:
“He heals the brokenhearted; He binds up their wounds. He counts the number of the stars; He calls all of them by name.”
May the creator of heaven, earth, and of you and your dad heal your broken heart. The creator, Jehovah (that’s what the Bible calls him), knows the number of the billions of stars of which we can only estimate, they surpass the capacity of our counting. If he knows the name of every single one of the stars who have lesser value than you and your family, lesser value than any human, imagine all the details he keeps in mind about you, about your dad. Jehovah’s memory is without limit. He knows every detail about how we were made, our strengths, weaknesses, sad times, happy times, and the list goes on and on. He sees what you are going through each day, the lows and the highs, he will help your heart and promises to fix everything soon, he is capable and willing to do it.
Take courage my friend. You are not alone, and we are a phone call away. Whenever you need to talk we’re here.
Love you,
Schweta

I met Alix when she came for a job interview with the Government of Canada. She succeeded in the competition, and her father helped her return to Regina.
Over the years, listening to Alix tell various anecdotes, I learned that all members of the Steinke family were tight-knit, and because of the parents' commitment and dedication to parenting, all their children were raised properly and knew right from wrong and the value of work. I met Alix's parents and her brother, Warner, and her sister, Claudia, and they readily, you knew, cared deeply for each other and their friends.
On behalf of my wife, Irina, and myself, I offer our deepest condolences to Alix, Claudia and Ryker on the loss of their father and grandfather. May your loving memories comfort you during this difficult time and in the years ahead. Mr. Steinke was a remarkable person who will missed by all who knew him.
