Condolences
Our deepest sympathy goes out to the families. We had the priviledge of working with Colleen at St. John’s School in Fort McMurray in the early 80’s. Colleen was a very wonderful person to work with. Our prayers go out to the families.
I too had the privilege of working with Colleen at St. John’s Jr High in Ft. McMurray. Colleen’s gentle nature and beautiful smile will always be remembered. She was a beautiful lady.
Anita

Colleen is an Angel and will be so missed.
So sorry about your lost.

My heartfelt sympathy to the Palmer-Monier families. I met Colleen in the early 80’s while teaching in Fort McMurray. I remember Colleen as that bright ray of sunshine! She was friendly, warm and kind. She loved the students and the students loved her. Colleen was well dressed and trendy! We had many a good social gathering at Colleen’s home. Although I lost touch with Colleen, as is often the case when we relocate, I will always remember Colleen and her bright, smiling eyes. I will keep the memories of her in my heart. I was lucky to have known her. Rest in Peace.
I am both shocked and saddened by news of Colleen’s death. As Principal of St. John’s Junior High during Colleen’s tenure I knew her to be an excellent teacher always giving of herself to both students and staff. As a friend I knew Colleen to be a “classy lady”. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family in this time of sorrow. Dan
I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Colleen at St. John’s Jr. HIgh in Fort McMurray and was always impressed by her warm and caring way with the students. She brought out the best in everyone she met. Colleen will be missed by all.

Dear Lou and Mary,
So sorry to hear about the loss of your daughter, Colleen. We just read her obituary in “The Casket” this morning. In February of this year, I ran into Colleen on the ski hill in Banff, Alberta, while out visiting my sister, Brenda, in Calgary. Colleen seemed so happy and well at the time so, of course, I was shocked to read of her passing. I know this will be a difficult time for both of you. Our thoughts are with you at this time. Ron and Catherine MacGillivray
Dear Lynne & family; I am so very sorry to hear of Colleen’s passing. I remember her warm smile and great sense of humor. Losing a sister is very difficult but I hope the wonderful memories and times you shared together will be of comfort to you. Take care.
Our sincere sympathy to Kilmer Mary and all the family. We are so saddened by the loss of such a wonderful person and she will be so missed by everyone. Our prayers and sympathy goes out to you on the loss of Colleen. As Colleen would live by: Live simple, Love generously, Care deeply, Speak kindly and Leave the rest to God. Love and Prayers. Cindy(Kilmer’s sister) Kris & Thomas
Dear Mary, Lou and family,
I was so sorry to hear about Colleen. Her life will always be honoured and cherished by her loving and supportive family. I hope all the happy memories you have of Colleen will bring you some comfort.
Sincerely,
Mary Jo Broderick
My sympathies to Colleen’s family and friends. I first met Colleen at John XXIII. She was a kindred spirit and was always up for any adventure. To have Colleen as a friend was a blessing. She brightened every occasion with her warm, positive attitude. She would always offer encouragement and support infused with her laughter and love of life. The world is a little less cheerful today for me. She will be missed.
Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to Colleen and Bill’s extended family. We lived across the street from Colleen and Bill in Christie Park for several years and shared an intense passion for visiting the wonderful island of Bonaire. We saw in Colleen an exceptional individual who always had a thought for others, was the first to offer help regardless of the situation and at the same time living her own life to the fullest! Colleen will be sorely missed and reside in our hearts for ever!
Tom, Ellen, Christine and Shawn
My hearfelt sympathy is extended to Colleen’s family and friends. We were counselling colleagues in the Calgary Catholic School District. Colleen was a real lady whose generous smile drew you into her heart.
I knew Colleen from St FX. We were both in the Nutrition & Consumer Studies program, she was a year ahead of me. The word that came to mind when I was thinking of Colleen was “lovely”. I can see from reading the other comments she has blessed us all with her goodness and that she spread Christ’s love to others, especially those most in need.”Well done my good and faithful servant come and enter in to the glory I have prepared for you!”
To Colleen’s parents and family, know that my prayers will be with you during this time of sorrow. May the love of Our Risen Savior console and uphold you, to be the light in the darkness reminding you of the truth of eternal life.
Dear Mary and Kilmer,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and you family at this time of sadness.
Those who were touched by Colleen’s kindness and her constant smile will always have fond memories of a very courageous woman. All those whom have met her will miss her. Take good care of each other.
Ellen

So shocked to hear of Colleen’s untimely death. I had seen her a few years ago and she was still the same smiling personality. We had worked together as Counsellors at Fr. Lacombe HS and I recall all the loving attention she gave to all her Grade 10 charges. We even joked that we were “cousins” through the Larkin branch of her extended family. She kept me up to date on Lakeside events. She certainly led an active life. Our sincere sympathies to her family members and her close circle of fiends.
Please accept our sympathy on the passing of Colleen. You are in our prayers at this time. God bless you all.
My heartfelt sympathy to Colleen’s family. Colleen worked in the lab next to mine at Fr. Mercredi Community High School in Ft. McMurray. My memory of her will always be of an ever patient teacher and a lovely and gracious person.

Colleen was a classy lady!! We met at John XXIII Elementary/Jr. High and were together again at Father Lacombe High School. Colleen was one of 10 of us gals that gathered every month for several years with our Dinner Club. She was an amazing individual with an incredibly kind heart and beautiful smile. She would be there for anyone who needed a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen. You will be sadly missed Colleen!

My prayers go out to the Palmer-Monier families in the passing of a very special gal. I worked with Colleen at Father Mercredi High School in Fort McMurray in the 80’s. Colleen brought joy, daily, to the Mercredi family; indeed a smile that lit up every room she entered. While we did not keep in touch over the years it is evident that Colleen accomplished much and continued to do the great work she was called to do. Thinking of and praying with the family in their loss.
While Colleen and I did not maintain contact after she left Fort McMurray I never stopped thinking about her. I remember all of the laughs we had on 3rd Plessis and then in Fort McMurray. She had such a big heart and the smile that lit up her eyes showed that. Anyone who knew her in Fort McMurray loved her and I am sure it was the same way in Calgary. Rest in Peace Colleen. Sit with God and continue to smile down on us. I am sorry for the family that they have lost you. You will leave a giant space in many hearts.
I was fortunate to work with Colleen at John XXIII back when I first started teaching. It was so inspiring to watch her work with kids, and see the impact her warmth had on everyone around her. We were all very blessed to have known her.
I knew Colleen from St. Michael Catholic Community. Despite her battle with cancer she always had a smile to greet everyone as they walked through the doors to attend Life Teen Mass. I’ll miss your warm smile and hugs, Colleen. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
I first met Colleen when I was working at St. Gregory School and thought of her as a lovely, positive and dedicated lady.
My husband Jim and I had many interesting conversations with Colleen after church services and during the Alpha Program.
A person with her integrity and passion for life has left life far too soon but God has a master plan
Our thoughts are with Colleen’s family.
Jim and Diane Thomson
