Obituary of AMORUSO – Rocco Gregorio

May 13, 1953 – December 4, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rocco Gregorio Amoruso in Fort McMurray, AB on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the age of 57 years. Born in Staletti, Italy, Rocco moved to Canada with his parents at the age of two. He spent his career at CP Rail and after retirement became a driver in Fort McMurray. Rocco will be remembered by many family and friends in Calgary, Italy and Strathmore. He will also be remembered for his love of family and grandchildren, riding his Harley Davidsons, Pine Lake and Tim Hortons. Rocco is survived by his mother Gesa Amoruso; daughter Amanda (Bilal) Osman; sons, Annunziato (Jessica) Amoruso and Victor Amoruso; grandchildren, Najibeh, Ali, Amira and Mariam Osman and Phoenix Amoruso; his brother Dominic (Jessica) Amoruso; and three nieces. Rocco was predeceased by his father Annunziato Amoruso in 2008. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Friday, December 10, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
