Obituary of GLOVER – James Fredrick

September 16, 1942 – September 30, 2010 Peacefully at home on Thursday, September 30, 2010 Jim Glover passed away at the age of 68. Jim, beloved husband is survived by his loving soul-mate Dora-Lynne “Dory”. Loving father to Colin, Colleen (Kris), Kelly (Ron). Dear brother of Marilyn Beckmann (Adrian) (Jack Rickert, 1999), and Bonnie Oakes (Monty). Jim will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Predeceased by parents Claude and Mary. Born in Hamilton, Ontario September 16, 1942, Jim moved to Calgary in 1980 and became a true westerner. Jim worked in the printing industry all his life and retired at the age of 60 spending his golden years in China. While traveling Thailand and Philippines, Jim made many friends and left behind many fond memories of a true gentleman, a confidant and mentor, who shared many good times and lots of laughs. He will be remembered for his humour, honesty, and love of life. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
