Obituary of Dorego – Jovina Faria

May 29, 1920 – September 19, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Jovina Dorego. Jovina was born in Grota Do Contador Relva Sao Miguel Acores on May 29, 1920. She was a hard working lady who always wanted a better life for her daughters. Jovina will always be lovingly remembered by her daughters and sons-in-law, Maria and Joao, Armanda and Jose. She will also be remembered by her grandchildren Marco (Mary), Mario, Alexsondrie (Andrew), Gregory and her great grandson Reid Sutherland. Her sister Alexandrina Machado of Danbury Conn, U.S.A, one brother-in-law Guielhmo Jeronimo, three sisters-in-law Maria Jose Faria, Afonsa Faria and Deolinda Faria of Hamilton, ON. and numerous nieces and nephews that will miss her from Acores, Canada, and the U.S.A. Jovina was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years Jose Dorego, parents Joao Faria and Maria Dos Anjos Medeiros. She was also predeceased by seven brothers Manuel, Antonio, Jancint, Joao, Francisco in the Acores, Antonio and Hermano in Calgary, and two sisters Conceicao Vieira in Kingston, ON and Diamantina Jeronimo in Calgary, her dear godson Jose Jacinto Faria and her special nephew Antonio Alberto Faria in the Acores. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church (4747 – 30th Street S.E.) on Thursday, September 23, 2010 at 7:30 P.M. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church (4747 – 30th Street S.E.) on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 10:30am. Graveside Service to follow in “Good Shepard Cemetery” at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
