Obituary of BEARE – James Martin

May 4, 1926 – September 17, 2010 James (Jim) Beare passed away on Friday, September 17, 2010 at the age of 84 years. He is survived by his wife Sue and sons Richard and Christopher, all of Calgary. He was predeceased by a brother Herbert and a sister Betty both of Northern Ireland and a sister Florence of Toronto. He is survived by his brother-in-law Cecil Arnold of Toronto and by numerous nieces and nephews in Northern Ireland and in Toronto. He graduated from the University of Toronto (B.Comm.) and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in Ontario. In 1972 he was transferred to Calgary by his employer, Shell Canada Ltd. Upon his retirement in 1984, he became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta and set up a tax and accounting practice which he continued until his death.
