Obituary of BROWN – Joanne C.

July 2, 1956 – September 9, 2010 Joanne passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at the age of 54 years. Joanne was a loving mother. Her sons were her great pride and joy. After graduating from Carleton University she worked as a dental assistant for thirty years. Joanne was an avid gardener and loved music. She sang in the St. Thomas United Church choir for many years, particularly enjoying the choir’s special events. Joanne is survived by her husband Brian; sons, Robert and Steven. She is also survived by her mother Clara Smith; sisters, Carolyn (David) Wilson of Halifax, NS and Helen Carty of Ottawa, ON. She was predeceased by her father Leonard Smith. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Thomas United Church (100 Hawkwood Boulevard N.W.) on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. You may forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
