Obituary of HARRIS – Aylean Louise

February 1, 1919 – August 13, 2010 Aylean Harris, a long time resident of Calgary, passed away peacefully at the Bow-Crest Care Centre on Friday, August 13, 2010 at the age of 91 years. The daughter of pioneer ranchers, she was raised in the beautiful Cypress Hills of Saskatchewan. Aylean married Albert Harris of Medicine Hat in 1942 where they resided until being transferred to Calgary in 1953. Aylean will be remembered for her love of and loyalty to her family and friends. She was artistic and creative, a talented seamstress, and a wonderful cook who loved entertaining. She was a dedicated member of the Wild Rose United Church. Aylean was predeceased by her dear husband Albert in 2005; and by two brothers, Ray Whitney and Cliff Whitney. She is survived by her loving daughters, Laraine (John) McIntyre and Peggy Harris; grandchildren, Doug (Claudia) McIntyre and Karen McIntyre (Clinton Campion). She is also survived by her sister Ida Kearns; and brother Jack Whitney. Aylean was blessed with two great grandsons in the summer of 2009, Martin Robert Campion and Dylan Peter McIntyre. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
