Obituary of WYATT – Florence May

May 1, 1926 – August 13, 2010 It is with much sadness we announce that our beloved mom, grandmother, aunt and friend passed away on August 13, 2010. Flin was born on May 1, 1926 in Brandon, MB to John and Mary Matthew. She grew up in Brandon with her sister Peggy. After schooling in Brandon, Flin married Glen Wyatt and they moved to Edmonton, AB. Together they had four children. Flin’s children were of utmost importance in her life, and she enjoyed staying home and raising her family. In 1967 the family moved to Calgary, and it is here that she became an active member of St. Giles Presbyterian Church for the past forty-three years. After raising her family, Flin worked at Alberta Motor Vehicles for 15 years, retiring in 1993. She was involved in numerous church groups and enjoyed volunteering her time always to help others in need. She was a baker extraordinaire and in her later years enjoyed baking cookies for Inn From the Cold. Flin had fun travelling, especially to Scotland in 1979, and again in 1990 to Europe with her sister Peggy. Flin is survived by her children, John Wyatt (Debby), Lois Russell (Jim), Mark Wyatt (Brandy Borley), and Glenda Tetreau (Rudy). She greatly loved and adored her grandchildren, Matthew Wyatt, Kirby Wyatt, Michael Dumenko (Liz), and Brittany Wyatt; and her step-grandchildren, Ryan and Jennifer Page, Annelie Russell (Ryan Williams), and Carter and Gavin MacKenzie. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and a large circle of friends, and extended family. She was predeceased by her parents and sister.
