Obituary of GIULIANI – Giovanni John

October 6, 1925 – August 13, 2010 Giovanni Giuliani of Calgary, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2010 at the age of 84 years. Giovanni was born in Navelli, Italy and immigrated to Canada in the late 1950’s. Soon after arriving, he met and married Argentina and shortly after, moved to Calgary. Giovanni had three passions in life, his family, his garden and his wine making, and took great pride in all three. In his later years, his grandchildren were the joy of his life and always put a big smile on his face. Giovanni will be remembered as a man of integrity and honesty. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Rita and Scott MacKay; his granddaughter Morgan; and grandson Brayden. Giovanni also had a soft spot in his heart for their dog Peerce. He is also survived by numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Giovanni was predeceased by his wife Argentina in 2006 and his son Domenico in 1998. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name Catholic Church (2223 – 34th Street S.W.) on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
