Obituary of STABLER – Anne Paula

December 9, 1930 – August 7, 2010 Anne Paula Stabler of Calgary, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the age of 79 years. Anne was born in Derwent, Alberta, to a large and loving family. She spent her formative years on the family farm and attending the local one-room school house. Anne was always a considerate and compassionate woman with a loving and genuine personality, so naturally, when it came time to choose a career, she moved to Calgary to train as a nurse’s aide. It was there that she met the love of her life, William Stabler. They were married during the winter of 1953 and, five years later, they celebrated the birth of their only child, William Allan Stabler. Although Anne continued to work from time to time, she was happiest when she was at home caring for her family. Anne loved to cook and bake, as well as make jam and preserves for all her friends and loved ones. A kind and caring woman, she opened her heart and home to everyone. Anne was a very spiritual woman and loved Jesus. She walked with Him daily and studied His teachings. She trusted the Lord and laid her problems at the foot of the cross. This helped her greatly when her husband, William, passed away in 1998. Anne is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Susan Stabler of Okotoks, AB; three grandchildren, Steven, Christine and Kevin; brothers, Paul, Emil, Marshall (Angie); sister Stephanie; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and many devoted friends. Anne will be dearly missed and happily remembered by all those who knew her.
