Obituary of DAVIDSON – Knox Benoit

November 25, 1937 – August 7, 2010 This week the Davidson Clan and friends are celebrating the life of Knox Benoit Davidson, born November 25, 1937 and passed away August 7, 2010 at 7:40 p.m. while surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his own home. Knox is survived by his loving and devoted wife Verna K. Davidson; three loving children, Jill C. (Doug) Dow, Corrie A. Davidson-Seo (Yoon-Heui Seo) and Knox J. Davidson; three terrific grandchildren, Amus W. Dow, Maria R. Davidson and Knox L. Davidson; and extended family throughout Canada and Belgium. Knox was predeceased by his mother Helen Orrock Davidson of Winnipeg, MB and Ben Bekert of Belgium. Knox B. Davidson, (youngest of three boys – brothers, Bob and Alex), was a fun-loving adventuresome man who lived life to the fullest. We, as his children, feel fortunate to have had many great adventures on meagre beginnings. Knox loved nature and the simple truths of life. He was a devoted and loving husband and a supportive father and grandfather. Knox B. Davidson made a point to get to know people and befriended many during his life. After a brief yet exciting career in the Royal Canadian Air Force, Knox returned to Canada where he made a successful career as a Chemical Engineer in Calgary. He brought communities together and stood for what he believed in. Knox loved nature, camping, dancing, music, and art. He loved to laugh out loud with great gusto, sharing all with good friends and family. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the emergency paramedics, the trauma unit, the intensive care unit, and the pulmonary unit – all from the Foothills Medical Centre, and also the palliative care nurses from Comcare and Alberta Health Care Services who made it possible for Knox to be in the comfort of his own home. Knox’s final celebration will be at his home on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. You may forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In living memory of Knox-B Davidson, a tree will be planted at Big Hill Springs Park, Cochrane by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Crowfoot Chapel, 82 CROWFOOT CIRCLE N.W. Telephone: (403) 241-0044.
