Obituary of BUHR – William Frederick

November 23, 1941 – August 5, 2010 Bill Buhr of Calgary passed away on August 5, 2010 at the age of 68 years. Bill was born in Morris, MB and was baptised at the First Mennonite Church in Winnipeg. On October 1, 1966 he married Audrey King and after living in Dryden, Ottawa, Toronto, and Regina they settled in Calgary in 1996 where he has resided since. Bill enjoyed singing in the church choir as a means of expressing his deep faith and had a great love for his family. Bill is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Darren and Johanna Buhr of Victoria, BC and daughter and son-in-law Shelley and Craig Clements of Calgary; three grandsons Willy and Alex Buhr and Sid Clements; and Bill’s long time companion Jeannette Bells. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law Rita and John Goosen; two brothers and sisters-in-law Edward and Carol Buhr and Ernest and Carol Buhr and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Audrey Buhr in 1998. Funeral Services will be held at Lutheran Church Of The Cross (10620 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Monday, August 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
