Obituary of Paul Jeffrey Adam GETTIS

January 21, 1981 – October 20, 2018 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Gettis, beloved husband of Bethany, on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the age of 37 years. Paul was born in Calgary, AB and attended Silver Springs Elementary and Montgomery Jr. High Schools. His senior high school years were spent at Strathcona‐Tweedsmuir School in Okotoks, Alberta. He attended the University of Victoria, where he studied Business. Paul returned to Calgary, where he created a successful landscaping company, Custom Stone & Waterscapes. In 2015, Paul had the vision to establish Cargo Digital, a company which combined market demand generation, automation, and analytics. He provided new and innovative products for his clients. His company received the “Best Digital Agency in North America – Social Innovation Award” in 2018. Paul had a great passion for music, playing both the piano and the guitar. He was an accomplished singer and songwriter, and loved performing with his dear friend Evan Bouey and his many musician friends. Paul loved the outdoors, especially the mountains. He participated in many sporting activities, his favourites being hockey and skiing. Besides his loving wife Bethany (nee Wisdom) and his two beautiful sons Kayden (age 5) and Jayce (age 3); Paul is survived by his parents Jim and Barbara Gettis; brother Michael (Noelle) and nephew John, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; parents‐in‐law Jayne and Ian Wisdom; brother‐in‐law Michael Wisdom, niece Rayne Wisdom, and his loving canine friend Zoey. Paul was predeceased by his brother Brent, grandfathers Charles Blake and Duain Gettis; grandmothers Matilda (Tillie) Blake and Mary Gettis. Paul especially loved his family, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A private Memorial Service was held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (), on Sunday, October 28, 2018.
