Obituary of PAIN – Jean Catherine

October 24, 1918 – May 31, 2010 It is with great sadness that the family of Jean Pain announces her passing on Monday, May 31, 2010. On her 91 year journey through life, her family and friends were a constant source of joy. We remember her for the great pride she had in her family, for her strength of spirit and for her lifetime of love and humour. Jean Pain was born in Red Deer in 1918. In 1941, she graduated from the University of Alberta and married Thomas Pain. Jean Pain’s spirit was really felt at Sylvan Lake, and our best memories are of her there, enjoying her family, the water, the birds and her wild roses. Jean was predeceased by her beloved husband, Thomas Pain and by her three brothers, Ron, Jack and Ted Graham. She will be sorely missed by her son Michael Pain (Pat); and daughters, Kerrie Pain (Gary Finley) and Julie Francon. She will be remembered by six grandchildren, Jeff Pain (Alyson), Tania Wong (Sam), Jill Razzell, Eric Finley (Star), Sara Finley and Theo Francon (Lindsay). Grandma Jean will be also remembered fondly by her great-grandchildren, Aria, Sana and Jamie Finley, Kyle and Thomas Pain and Briana and Keenan Wong. Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
