Obituary of CRANE BEAR – Coradell

September 14, 1939 – April 5, 2010 Coradell Crane Bear was called Home to our Creator on Monday, April 5, 2010 at the age of 70 years. Coradell is survived by four sons, John Spence, Patrick (Ann) Spence, Robert (Tammy) Spence and Scott Spence; her brother Fred Mayfield; niece Nora (Mark) Dubois; nephews Clifford Crane Bear, Rick Prairie Chicken, Leroy (Evelyn) Crane Bear and Broderick (Mavis) Prairie Chicken; nine grandchildren and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She will be sadly missed and forever remembered by cousins Florence Back Fat, Alice Big Snake and Tom Crane Bear; the Running Rabbits, Bear Chiefs, Stevens, Smiths, Spotted Eagles, Calfchilds, McMasters, Duck Chiefs, Yellow Old Woman, Stimson, One Runner, and the Mayfield Clan all of Siksika Nation, the Big Plume, Starlight, and Otter families of T’suu Tina Nation; adopted family White Eagles; special friend Alice Spencer, and adopted daughter Claudia. The family apologizes if they have missed anybody. Coradell was predeceased by her husband Royden Spence; father Tony Crane Bear; mother Madelaine Mayfield; sisters, Mable, Rowena and Lila; brother Jasper and her daughter Julie. In the past few years Coradell enjoyed travelling with the Siksika Elders to various events and loved being around family and friends. She adored her children very much and also enjoyed Bingo. Cora lived with Cliff and Colleen for a number of years and helped raise Owen and Mark and was a grandmother to them. Wake Services will be held at Gordon Yellow Fly Memorial Arbour (Siksika Nation, AB) on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at St. John the Divine Anglican Church (Siksika Nation, AB) on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Paul Little Walker Cemetery (Siksika Nation, AB).
