Obituary of STOKOWSKI – Walter

May 1, 1927 – April 3, 2010 It is with great sadness that we have lost our dear father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. After a short and dignified battle with cancer, Walter passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the age of 82 years. Walter was born on May 1, 1927, one of eleven children born to Kost and Mary Stokowski. Walter retired in 1985 after 35 years in the Land Department for Shell Canada Ltd. Walter leaves to remember him his children; Joyce (Dennis) Blasetti, Ken (Gitte) Stokowski, Sharon (Jack) Shaughnessy-Carney, Sandra Stokowski, Lori (Brian) Burland, Carol Stokowski and his special friend Cecile Ifko. Walter was proud of his grandchildren; Cristy, Natasha, Aaron, Tyler, Joshua, Jordan, Danielle, Janelle, Nick and Tom and his great grandchildren Kaydon and Kallon. He was predeceased by his wife Helen in 2002. You’re not forgotten, father, dear, nor ever shall you be, as long as life and memory last, I shall remember thee.
