Obituary of ARENDS – Maria Cecilia Wilhelmina

March 28, 1915 – March 31, 2010 Maria Arends of Calgary passed away peacefully in her 95th year at the Sarcee Nursing Home, Calgary, on Wednesday, March 31, 2010. She was predeceased by her husband Eugene J.W. Arends in 1999, and is survived by daughters Frida (Max) Kattenburg-Schuler and Meta (Helmut) Wieser of Calgary and son Jack (Judy) Arends of Regina; Grandchildren Monique (Steve) Cavanagh, Robert (Cheralee) Kattenburg-Schuler, Michael Wieser, Caroline (Paul) Bartel of Calgary, Jennifer Arends (Justin Messner) of Regina and Allison Arends (Tim Hanson) of Toronto; six great grandchildren, Mitchell, Jocelyn, Chelsea, Kaylee, Liam and Owen. Mam lived a full life and enjoyed her travels with Pap, with whom she was married for almost 64 years. She contributed a great deal to her ever-growing family, for which all of us are very thankful. The family gratefully acknowledges the loving care given to our mother during her stay at Sarcee Care West. In lieu of a memorial service a private family gathering will be held at Mam’s request.
