Obituary of DAVIES – Olanda Teresa

June 26, 1925 – March 28, 2010 It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt. Vi passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 84 years, as the result of a fall. Vi was predeceased by her husband Vic Davies and her son Glen Davies. She is survived by her son Lorne (Audrey) and their children, Michelle, Megan Stone (Steve), Cameron (Carrie); and great-grandchildren Hudson and Elle; daughter-in-law Laura Davies and son Paul; son Wayne (Megan) and their children Rachel and Nathan. She is also survived by her sister Miki Harding; brother Charlie Varalta (Elaine); and several special nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road SE) on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church (1600 Acadia Drive SE) on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers and to celebrate Vi’s generosity to many charities, memorial tributes to one of your choosing would be appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff at the Rockyview General Hospital and her many friends from the Chaparral 50+ group.
