Obituary of CAMPBELL – Isabel Margaret

Isabel Campbell passed away on Friday, March 26, 2010 at the age of 95. Isabel, a proud native Calgarian, cherished childhood memories of summer vacations at Sylvan Lake, and her rewarding career as a substitute with the Calgary Board of Education. After retirement, she spent time at the Kerby Centre where she contributed well over 8,000 volunteer hours. With members of the Central United Church UCW, she enjoyed knitting to benefit members of the community. Sunny days were spent in her garden with the birds. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Ann, and Bill (Diane) Campbell; grandchildren, Nancy (Sean), and Jim (Carole) Steeves; Karen (Dan), and Kevin (Marnie) Thompson; Erin (Andrew) Mark; Adam and Paul Campbell; and great-grandchildren, Sarah, Phillip, Payton, Autumn, and Kayleigh. Isabel was predeceased by her husband Forbes Campbell, and daughter Kathleen Thompson. A celebration of Isabel’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 31 at 2 p.m. at Central United Church 131 – 7 Ave. S.W., T2P 0W5.
