Obituary of ENJENESKI – Stanley

July 2, 1924 – January 29, 2010 Stanley Enjeneski, beloved husband of Nadia Enjeneski of Calgary, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2010 at the age of 85 years. Stanley was born July 2, 1924 in Koden, Poland. He and his family arrived in Canada in 1929 and settled in Tomahawk, AB. Stanley joined the army in 1943, was trained in Calgary and served with the Regina Rifle Regiment 3rd Division in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany until 1945 and served one year of occupation in Europe, returning home in 1946. After the war, he worked at various jobs until 1957; he then went to work for Mobil Oil, and in 1965 he went to Tripoli, Libya, 1971 to Lagos, Nigeria and in 1978 went to Houston, Texas returning to Drayton Valley in 1980. Stanley retired from Mobil Oil in 1982 and moved to Calgary. In his retirement Stanley enjoyed fishing, golfing and entertaining, doing some traveling until 2006 when he was diagnosed with Parkensons. Stanley fought hard, but could not win this battle. Stanley is survived by Nadia his loving wife of fifty six years. Stanley is also survived by his sisters-in-law Anne Gully, Della and Jane Enjeneski and Mary Magusiak. Stanley was also blessed with forty-three nieces and nephews, two of who were very special to him that being Ken and Rose Case. Stanley was predeceased by his parents, Nick and Felixia; his brothers Valerian, Joe and Wilfred and his sister Subina. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Holy Spirit Catholic Church (10827 – 24th Street S.W.) on Friday, February 5, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held in Tomahawk, AB on Monday, February 8, 2010 at 1:00 pm.
