Obituary of TESAN – Alexander Anthony

May 17, 1939 – January 26, 2010 Al passed away suddenly on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at age 70, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Edmonton May 17, 1939 to Martha and Alex Tesan. He obtained his engineering degree from U of A class of 1966. His early years were spent working in the oilfield in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and as far away as Lake Erie and Venezuela, later he worked as a consultant in Russia for two years. He had formed his own company, Tesan Engineering Ltd; moving to Calgary. Al was a Life Member of APEGGA. He developed a keen interest in horse racing and as a proud owner of more than one horse achieving entry into the winners circle. Al liked to entertain spending many happy hours in the company of family and friends both in Calgary and his winter retreat in Phoenix. Enjoying sports of fishing, curling and golf, he retired in 2008 after a very successful and enjoyable career. Al’s untimely departure was a shock to all who had the pleasure of knowing him and his strong presence will be sorely missed. He leaves to mourn his mother Martha; son Robert (wife Mary), of New Zealand; step son Danny (wife Wanda); brothers, Bob (wife Pat) and Martin; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and good friends. Al was predeceased by his wife Fran. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through .
