Obituary of PETLEY – Allen Michael

April 11, 1941 – January 23, 2010 After a courageous battle with cancer this past year, Mike Petley passed away at Rosedale Hospice on Saturday, January 23, 2010, at the age of 68. He was surrounded by his family. Mike is survived by his beloved wife of forty years, Maria; son Daniel; daughter-in-law Laura; and grandchildren, Sam and Megan. He had an enormous presence in his grandchildren’s lives and was an amazing grandfather. Sam and Megan will never forget all the times they spent with Grandpa Mike and the many adventures they shared together in Canmore. He is also survived by his sister and brothers-in-law, Mary Pat, and Doug Ragan of Mississauga, and Mario and Helen Dellaviola of Victoria; and three nieces and two nephews. A Celebration of Mike’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
