Obituary of ROYAL – Charlene Bernadette

January 16, 1955 – January 1, 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charlene Bernadette Royal, on Friday, January 1, 2010 at the age of 54 years. Charlene was well known for her traditional dancing, which she placed 3rd in 2000 and she was so proud. She had taken the Life Skills course, volunteered, and was secretary for the White Buffalo. Charlene was also well known for her great sense of humour, laughter and was always caring for others. She will be missed by her many friends. Charlene is lovingly remembered by her loving husband Jordan Axe; father James Calf, mother Mary Theresa Royal; her children Weylene Royal (Gordon), Ryan Royal, (Rebecca), Rhonda Royal (Daniel), step brother Donnie Royal; ten grandchildren, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends and in-laws. She was predeceased by her grandparents Maude and Johnny Black, Mary and Charlie Royal, Quintarse and Betsy Calf, stepmother Patricia Black, granddaughter Sasha Royal; brothers Gino Royal, Stanford Royal, Eldon and Errol Little Light; nephew Todd Royal, step dad Ralph Telford. The family apologizes if they have missed anybody. Wake Services will be held at the Gordon Yellow Fly Memorial Pow Wow Arbour (Siksika Nation, AB) on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 6:00 P.M. A Funeral Service will be held at Gordon Yellow Fly Memorial Pow Wow Arbour (Siksika Nation, AB) on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Canon Stockton Cemetery (Siksika Nation, AB).
