Obituary of KAISER – Winnifred Mary

June 1, 1918 – December 31, 2009 Winnifred M. Kaiser of Calgary passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2009 in the Sarcee Transition Unit, at the age of 91 years. She was born at home on 12th Ave. S.W. and lived in Calgary most of her life, with the exception of a few years in Kamloops, B.C. Following high school, she attended business college, after which she worked at Calgary Power off and on for many years. Winn is survived by her brother Clifford and his wife Helen; one sister-in-law Dorothy; her husband Roy; daughter Chris; and three sons, Michael (Martha), Robert (Linda) and Donald (Cristina); as well as five grandchildren, Susan, Lisa, Sarah, Evan and Lauren; three great-grandchildren, Alice, Nolan and Gavin; and several nieces and nephews. Winn was predeceased by her parents, Christina and Marmaduke Storey; her sister Muriel; four brothers, Dennis, Thomas, John and Geoffrey; as well as her first husband, Jack Marriott. The family would like to thank the staff at the Sarcee Transition Unit for their care during Winn’s stay there. A special thank you to her friend Brenda Horen, who has steadfastly visited Winn on a weekly basis for many years, wherever she happened to be living. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Saturday, January 16, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
